This double-breasted jacket is from a series that uses weaving to express the earthy, raw texture of the clay in ceramic artist Shoji Kamoda’s “Waved Patterns” works. By combining threads of different materials and adding color through post-dyeing, the aim is to draw out the complex color gradations and textures of ceramics in the textile. Simple yet distinctive, this item highlights the material’s natural texture and three-dimensional quality.
