The CREATION SPACE at ISSEY MIYAKE SEMBA presents an installation, “CAMPER × ISSEY MIYAKE Anna” by ISSEY MIYAKE.

Anna is the latest footwear from CAMPER x ISSEY MIYAKE, first introduced on the runway during the ISSEY MIYAKE 2026/27 show. This partnership between the two brands—each with over fifty years of heritage and expertise—celebrates creativity and functionality by promoting the value of craft in everyday life.

The design of Anna is based on the sleek, pointed outsole of Camper’s Anita style, inspired by the notion of “wearing shoes like socks.” Its understated knit upper is soft, breathable, and easy to wear, while reliably holding the foot in place. The way the upper wraps the foot and conforms to the body reflects the partnership’s theme of “physicality,” highlighting the inherent beauty of the human form.

Derived from the ISSEY MIYAKE Autumn Winter 2026/27 collection Creating, Allowing—which explores the relationship between deliberate intervention in design and the unfilled space—this installation is designed to evoke a minimalist aesthetic through a low-intervention act of positioning objects in a space. The large, solid pedestals covered with felt juxtapose the qualities of the fine, delicate glass plate above, a contrast that makes the pedestals’ presence more pronounced. Placing the footwear on them introduces an interplay between the different materialities, creating a tension—or harmony—that permeates within the space.

This installation invites viewers to experience the relationship between individual materials, as well as the interplay created through dependence on one another.
