On Friday, April 24, 2026, BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE opened its first flagship store in Japan in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo.

The store is a space where visitors can experience the possibilities of its signature triangular pieces, embodying BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE’s innovative craftsmanship and geometric forms.

The new store space is designed by Tokujin Yoshioka.He has previously designed flagship stores for ISSEY MIYAKE in Paris, Milan, London, and other cities.

At BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE / AOYAMA, centered within a minimalist interior, a monumental aluminum table over 10 meters in length appears to float as if freed from gravity.

The store will offer the full lineup of products and will also be home to “BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE LAB.” — an ongoing initiative dedicated to research and development, enabling the exploration of new possibilities of the triangular pieces through partnerships with creatives and specialists. Driven by pure curiosity, this initiative looks toward the near future and unfolds within the store.
