ELEMENTS BAG

This bag series is made from the same textile as the ELEMENTS series. A jar by Shoji Kamoda, characterized by tension-filled linear patterns and a texture that strongly retains the feel of clay, brings out the texture of the clay particles by re-covering the surface of a piece that has been fired once with a top coat of clay and peeling this off after the final firing. To express this feel in textiles, cotton made using thick threads with a highly dense weave is cut into fine parts and sewn with seams that retain a three-dimensional feel. During the process of stone-washing the completed item in a large mill, padding is added to the inside to make the bag puffy and discharge printing is applied, achieving even and uniform shadows in every part.

ELEMENTS LEATHER BAG

This bag is based on the same work that inspired the ELEMENTS BAG, and uses a laser to incorporate the tension-filled linear patterns of ceramics. Pulling the strap of the drawstring bag creates a three-dimensional form resembling a jar.

ELEMENTS SHOES

These side-gore boots were inspired by the same work that the ELEMENTS BAG is based on. They feature a pattern created by stitching together parts based on the design motifs carved into pots, and are characterized by a flowing form that extends from the toes to the top of the boot. Lightweight and fitted with a low-rebound insole for soft, comfortable wear, they are perfect for everyday use.
