ITAJIME SHIRT

An item that incorporates “Itajime-Shibori,” a traditional dyeing technique, in a shirt series that can fold compactly flat like a handkerchief. The folded shirt is inserted between two wooden boards and undergoes resist dyeing so that the areas not secured by the boards are dyed, creating a geometric pattern. It was designed so that regular patterns emerge starting from the fold lines of the shirt when it is worn.
