This vest from a series that uses a technique called Sakiori, in which fabric is torn into narrow strips and woven. Fabric from the IM MEN "FLAT" series is cut on the bias into tape-like strips and arranged in both the warp and weft directions for weaving. The random amount of space between threads and fringes convey a sense of handwork, giving each item a different look. The vest is shaped like a stole, formed by armholes and cords arranged along the weave.
