This skirt is made from light chiffon material with a crepe-like feel, created by adding silk to the cotton. The pattern, resembling the rubbing of a brush on a wall, is delicately expressed using a Nassen print applied three times to form layers of shading at a dyeing factory in Kyoto. The design features a layer of solid white fabric over the patterned fabric, and the colors and depth of the pattern are beautifully highlighted by the white that peeks through from the hem and slits.
