The CREATION SPACE at ISSEY MIYAKE SEMBA presents a special installation “TADANORI YOKOO ISSEY MIYAKE 2” from A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE.

Mr. Tadanori Yokoo, an artist who has led the times by constantly changing.
“TADANORI YOKOO ISSEY MIYAKE” recreates the overflowing energy of Yokoo's works in a single piece of cloth and explores further possibilities of clothing. A special project by A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE that offers both the pleasure of looking at the paintings and the pleasure of wearing the clothes.

The “TADANORI YOKOO ISSEY MIYAKE 2” series introduces “the five constellations,” Mr. Yokoo’s work of woodblock prints where he used Sharaku Toshusai’s portraits of kabuki actors as motifs and created intentionally misaligned prints. When the work is translated into clothing, the pattern on the jacket is designed with a touch of humor as if each component to be cut and sewn is misaligned too, emphasized by the colors that outline each offset.
