2018.09.02 | ISSEY MIYAKE KYOTO | KURA “GOOD GOODS-SOLID BAG”
The KURA gallery of ISSEY MIYAKE KYOTO, the place that connects and communicates with people and cultures from east and west, presents KURA Exhibition “GOOD GOODS —SOLID BAG.”
KURA Exhibition “GOOD GOODS —SOLID BAG”
GOOD GOODS ISSEY MIYAKE opened in Daikanyama on September 1st (Saturday), where only the best items are available. In this exhibition, we will introduce me ISSEY MIYAKE 's SOLID BAG from among those “nice things.”
This bag is characterized by its smooth and pleasant texture, the hardness that makes it easy to maintain its three-dimensional shape, and its vivid and deep coloring. These characteristics are created by a unique manufacturing method in which a special thin thread is knitted into a knit, processed to shrink to a quarter size, and then dyed. This process takes a lot of time and effort, so only a small amount can be produced in a day.
In addition to introducing the SOLID BAG that has been created with such time and effort, you can also see the behind-the-scenes production process through videos.
We would appreciate it if you could find out why “good things” are “good things” and feel their charm.
