2024.03.01 | ISSEY MIYAKE GINZA | CUBE IM MEN “FULFILL”
The CUBE at ISSEY MIYAKE GINZA / 445 presents a special exhibition, “FULFILL” by IM MEN.
This season, IM MEN took on a new challenge of design and making, by using every part of the fabric, leaving no leftovers—a bold initiative aimed at exploring the intricate relationship between humans and textiles.
Recent technological advancements have successfully transformed leftover fabric into a renewable resource.
IM MEN strive for a process where a designer is left with no excess fabric remaining on a workbench upon completion of a pattern. If such design and making can be realized in our modern era, it would inspire hope for many creatives.
IM MEN believe this approach creates an inherent unique beauty in each of the garments.
In the exhibition “FULFILL,” visitors will witness behind-the-scenes of IM MEN’s design and making endeavors, centered around the theme of fully utilizing fabric.
Through models, sketches, and interviews with team members, the exhibition will showcase the process through which innovative designs were conceived using diverse sustainable approaches.
