The SHIKAKU at ISSEY MIYAKE SHINJUKU presents an installation, “CAMPER x ISSEY MIYAKE Peu Form” by ISSEY MIYAKE.

Peu Form is the footwear that marks the launch of the new partnership between ISSEY MIYAKE and Camper. The collaboration between the two brands, both with over fifty years of heritage and expertise in their fields, celebrates creativity and functionality by promoting the value of craft in everyday life.

Designed by Satoshi Kondo around the concept of a piece of cloth, Peu Form is the latest addition to Camper’s Peu family, developed from the synergy between the iconic barefoot model and ISSEY MIYAKE’s design and making in conversation with the human body. The unstructured form—a piece of leather that wraps and drapes around the foot—explores fluidity as it adapts to each wearer’s foot.

Inspired by the concept of Peu Form, this exhibition presents an installation of objects made from wire mesh, in unfamiliar forms. Like Peu Form, where a new shape is developed from the concept of “not having a set form”, the installation explores the nature of a familiar material, beyond its conventional, preconceived forms.
